This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 10%, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.\nThis position is not eligible for any form of sponsorship now or in the future. The Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst partners with Finance and non-finance professionals in Accounting, Finance and other business and corporate functions.\nYou Will\nPrepare, develop and deliver timely and insightful financial reporting to the Company’s business leaders.\nAssist with the preparation of key external SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.\nSupport the monthly close consolidation process, including the preparation of financial statements, review of US GAAP adjustments, account analysis, intercompany accounting, financial schedules and calculations, and related internal controls.\nProvide technical accounting support by researching, analyzing, and documenting conclusions on new and proposed accounting, reporting and, disclosure standards promulgated under US GAAP and issued by the SEC.\nSupport Financial Reporting team in special projects, including process optimization, automation initiatives, and the operationalization of new reporting requirements, as applicable.\nHighlight opportunities for process improvements including the development of new reports and analytics to support management needs and standardize processes across departments.\nSupport external auditors throughout the financial audit process, including internal controls testing to support Grainger’s SOX compliance and special projects.\nYou Have\nBachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar field required.\n3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with exposure to consolidation experience preferred.\nExperience in project management, including continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes, systems, and tools to increase productivity and internal controls.\nDemonstrated ability to develop partnerships and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals and drive results.\nProficiency in SAP, BPC, Blackline, and Workiva is a plus.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA seeking Upon Hire preferred.\nWe are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or expression, protected veteran status or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local law.
