Role Overview
We are looking for senior US-qualified legal professionals to lead small teams responsible for creating and reviewing high-difficulty legal tasks and gold-standard solutions for an AI training and evaluation project.
This is both a hands-on legal expert and team leadership role. You will personally contribute complex legal work while managing a pod of approximately 16-20 contributors, reviewing quality, calibrating outputs, coaching team members, and ensuring consistent professional standards across contract, legal-analysis, and regulatory tasks.
CONTRACT: Short-term contractor assignment, 6 weeks
COMMITMENT: At least 4 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week, including 4 hours of PST overlap
LOCATIONS: Remote, USA

Responsibilities
- Lead a pod of approximately 16-20 legal contributors.
- Personally create high-difficulty legal tasks and gold-standard solutions.
- Develop and refine work involving contract drafting, legal analysis, regulatory interpretation, and related legal workflows.
- Review outputs for legal accuracy, reasoning depth, practical applicability, and consistency.
- Establish and maintain evaluation criteria, rubrics, and reference standards.
- Coach team members and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Manage priorities, delegation, workflow, and delivery quality across the pod.
- Identify recurring quality issues, edge cases, and ambiguous evaluation criteria.
- Escalate complex or unresolved matters to senior functional leadership where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement across task creation, review, calibration, and QA processes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of legal practice experience, ideally at Senior Associate, Counsel, or equivalent level.
- JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- Active US bar admission.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, legal analysis, and regulatory interpretation.
