This role requires strong menu knowledge, the ability to anticipate guest needs, and the execution of both service and bar functions to ensure a seamless guest experience. This is a winter seasonal position with an anticipated start date of November 22, 2026.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nMaintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, specials, and chef features\nMake recommendations, suggest pairings, and upsell food and beverage items\nAnticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests\nProvide efficient, friendly, and attentive service always\nMonitor and responsibly control guest alcohol consumption\nPrepare beverages according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards\nAdhere to all food safety regulations and liquor laws\nEnsure bar inventory is secure, properly stocked, and handled appropriately\nMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment\nSet up and maintain service stations and dining areas to standard\nEnsure all glassware and silverware are polished and properly set\nClear dishes promptly and assist with table maintenance as needed\nSupport bussers and team members to maintain efficient service flow\nAccurately process all transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures, including end-of-day closeouts\nCommunicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations\nMaintain knowledge of resort operations, events, and local attractions to assist guests\nThank guests upon departure and invite them to return\nFollow all safety and operational procedures\nAssist with cleaning and sanitizing all dining and bar areas\nAct as a professional and positive representative of the organization\nMaintain exceptional service standards with guests, team members, and leadership\nAssist other departments during events, races, and high-volume periods\nPerform other duties as assigned\nRequirements\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nActive listening and the ability to respond thoughtfully to guests and team members\nCritical thinking and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to adapt and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills\nGuest-focused mindset with a proactive approach to service\nKnowledge of Colorado state health codes\nAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently\nBasic written communication skills appropriate for workplace needs\nStrong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nFriendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.\nAbility to multitask and stay organized under pressure.\nBasic knowledge of menu items and ingredients.\nAbility to take direction and work efficiently as part of a team.\nEDUCTIONS, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:\nCurrent TIPS Certification required (must provide documentation)\nMust be at least 21 years of age\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nMinimum of 2 years of customer service and/or bartending experience preferred\nKnowledge of Colorado state health codes and liquor laws preferred\nPrevious cash handling experience preferred\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:\nAbility to lift and carry up to 40 lbs\nAbility to stand and walk for the duration of the shift\nAbility to perform repetitive motions such as lifting trays, carrying plates, and handling glassware\nOccasional outdoor patio service may be required\nMust be comfortable working in high-altitude conditions (8,000-10,000 feet) and varying weather if working outdoors\nPhysical movements include walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting\nWeekend and holiday availability required\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job. \nGranby Ranch is an equal opportunity employer.
