If you're ready to lead, grow with us, and leave a legacy that makes a real difference, we’d love to have you join our team.\nJob Summary\nThe ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial landscape construction, excellent analytical and numerical skills, and the ability to interpret plans and specifications to develop comprehensive project estimates. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the estimating workflow and pipeline to ensure complete, accurate proposals are submitted by bid deadlines.\nReview RFPs, plans, specifications, addendums, and other project documents to determine scope of work and appropriate production methods.\nPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct project costs.\nSolicit, obtain, and evaluate competitive quotes from qualified subcontractors and vendors.\nObtain pricing for hardscape materials, plant material, irrigation, equipment, and other materials required to complete project estimates.\nEnter and maintain bid and estimate information in Aspire.\nDevelop bid summaries and review estimates, pricing, and proposed margins with division management and senior leadership.\nApply established pricing and gross profit guidelines when developing project estimates.\nAssist customers and project partners with technical information, scope clarification, and pricing throughout the estimating and pre-construction process.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, subcontractors, vendors, and other key industry partners throughout the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson market.\nParticipate in pre-construction, pre-job, and post-job meetings as needed.\nCollaborate with Operations and other internal teams to ensure estimates accurately reflect project scope, production requirements, and company objectives.\nSupport business development efforts by identifying and developing relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers.\nMaintain organized and accurate estimating documentation and records.\nQualifications & Requirements\n3+ years of experience in commercial landscape construction estimating or a closely related field required\n2+ years of experience in commercial landscape construction field operations preferred.\nStrong understanding of commercial landscape installation and construction methods.\nWorking knowledge of plant material and basic horticultural practices.\nAbility to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, specifications, and project documents.\nStrong analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, general contractors, developers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.\nProfessional demeanor and a customer-focused approach.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nExperience with Aspire or similar landscape estimating/project management software preferred.\nBasic understanding of business mathematics, accounting principles, and financial reporting.\nBachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Horticulture, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.\nWhy Join Granite Hills Group?\nAt Granite Hills Group, our people are at the center of our success.
