This role requires expertise in multi-axis machining, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce mission-critical components with strict quality and compliance standards.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProgram 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines using Mastercam\nProgram CNC lathes and mill-turn machines\nDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex toolpaths for tight-tolerance parts\nInterpret and work from complex blueprints, GD&T, and military specifications\nSet up and prove out new programs on the shop floor\nSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting strategies for high-efficiency machining\nCollaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel\nMaintain program documentation and revision control\nImprove cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives in a high-mix, low-volume environment\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\n5 years of Mastercam programming experience\nStrong experience with 5-axis simultaneous machining\nExperience with 3-axis mills, CNC lathes, and mill-turn equipment\nDeep understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and work holding\nProficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T\nExperience working in a military, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environment preferred\nAbility to obtain or maintain required security clearance (if applicable)\nDue to the nature and importance of GSM’s work, our positions require access to export-controlled information.
