Interprets and uses Geometric Tolerances. Measures, inspects, tests and verifies machined, welded and finished parts for conformance to specifications. Completes receiving inspection of components.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupports first piece, in-process, and final inspections.\nCompletes receiving inspection on purchased components, supplier processed components, etc.\nReads blueprints or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.\nVerifies specified dimensions using measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: verniers, calipers, micrometers, and height stands.\nRejects defective parts and marks type of defect on part, container, and inspection tag. Writes reports regarding inspection and testing results.\nSupports inspection duties, quality objectives, and the Quality Management System.\nStudies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.\nVerifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.\nMust be flexible enough to work in all areas of operation per the direction of the Leadership.\nAssists other areas in support of product conformity.\nFacilitates effective communications and working relationships (including answering department phone).\nDemonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.\nDemonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and workers, and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.\nAbides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.\nRequirements\nCertification from college or technical school, or three years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nBasic knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances.\nBasic knowledge of plating, chromate irradite, tin plating, hard coat, anodize etc. Basic knowledge of aluminum, delrin, steel, stainless steel. \nStrong computer skills.
