If you think in terms of ownership over excuses, systems over firefighting, and massive action over incrementalism, this is your seat.\nResponsibilities\nFinancial Leadership & Reporting\nOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle end-to-end - reviewing, analyzing, and correcting to guarantee accuracy the first time, not after the fact.\nSet the standard for whether accounting is run on a cash or accrual basis, and drive the roadmap to full GAAP compliance as the business scales.\nDeliver board- and executive-ready reporting that turns financial data into a growth narrative, not just a compliance exercise.\nRevenue & Audit Compliance\nPartner cross-functionally to ensure revenue recognition is accurate, timely, and defensible under scrutiny.\nDesign audit procedures around how the business actually operates, proactively identifying risk before it becomes a finding.\nOwn the external audit relationship and drive it to a clean result - no surprises, no scrambling.\nTax & Regulatory Expertise\nServe as the internal authority on tax compliance, directing preparation and filing of corporate returns with precision.\nAnticipate regulatory exposure and build controls that keep the company ahead of it, not reacting to it.\nTransaction Integrity & Reconciliation\nOwn reconciliation of related-party transactions, holding the line on accounting standards without exception.\nRoot-cause discrepancies in the financials and drive the fix, not just flag the problem.\nOversee bank reconciliation across all company accounts with zero tolerance for unexplained variance.\nMonth-End & Annual Close\nLead a fast, clean close - entries, reconciliations, and analysis delivered with speed and precision every cycle.\nTranslate financial results into a clear, decision-ready summary of company performance each month.\nRevenue Collections & Billing Oversight\nOwn billing schedules, chargebacks, and refunds, ensuring revenue is recorded and collected accurately and on time.\nDrive collections performance across payment platforms including Stripe, Shopify, and Invoiced.com.\nEnsure refunds and chargebacks are properly adjusted in NetSuite and Invoiced.com to close cycles clean.\nCross-Departmental Leadership\nPartner with FP&A on commission reporting, catching and correcting errors in ecommerce commission structures before they compound.\nSupport the Grant Cardone Foundation's accounting, ensuring donations and contributions are properly documented and defensible.\nOwn credit card reconciliation completeness and accuracy across the business.\nRecruit, coach, and develop a high-performance accounting team - building bench strength, not just headcount.\nDrive continuous process improvement, replacing manual work with scalable systems as the company grows 10X.\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.\n7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including proven success as a Controller or Senior Controller.\nTrack record leading finance functions inside a hyper-growth or private-equity-backed environment - building the plane while flying it.\nDeep command of GAAP and applicable financial regulations, with hands-on experience transitioning a company from cash to accrual accounting.\nMinimum 3 years of revenue recognition experience;
