This role serves as a key liaison among business stakeholders, functional teams, technical resources, and data migration consultants.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Analysis and Data Quality\nAnalyze source-system data to identify completeness, accuracy, consistency, duplication, and missing-value issues.\nDefine and execute data cleansing, remediation, and enrichment activities before migration.\nDevelop and maintain data-quality metrics and validation reports.\nData Mapping and Transformation\nDevelop and maintain source-to-target mapping specifications for master, transactional, and reference data.\nDefine business rules, transformation logic, and data-conversion requirements.\nPartner with business subject matter experts to validate field definitions and update mapping specifications as business processes evolve.\nData Migration Execution\nSupport migration activities for ERP, financial, operational, and reporting systems.\nReview migration files and templates for load readiness.\nCollaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot data-conversion issues and load failures.\nParticipate in mock loads, test migrations, cutover planning, and production deployments.\nReconciliation and Testing\nValidate migrated data through source-to-target reconciliation, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and post-production review.\nInvestigate reconciliation discrepancies and identify the root causes of migration defects.\nDevelop reconciliation reports and controls to support business review and sign-off.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nCoordinate migration activities across business owners, functional consultants, developers, project managers, and data migration consultants.\nFacilitate data-discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.\nCommunicate migration risks, issues, and dependencies to project leadership.\nRecommend improvements to data-quality controls, governance practices, and migration procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.\nFive or more years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Data Migration Analyst, including at least three years supporting large-scale data migration projects.\nStrong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation methodologies.\nAdvanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.\nExperience working with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Dayshape, Fieldglass, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable platforms.\nProficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting tools.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud data migration projects.\nKnowledge of financial, billing, project accounting, customer, vendor, and master data structures.\nExperience with ETL and data-integration tools.\nFamiliarity with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SAP Migration Cockpit, or comparable technologies.\nUnderstanding of data governance, controls, and audit requirements.\nPMP, CBAP, SAP, or data-management certification preferred.\nThe base salary range for this position is between $72,000 and $95,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
