The vast majority of our employees have started off their careers at Grantek and have grown into successful senior team members who are integral to our client's manufacturing processes.\nThe Lead Engineer / Designer, AI Platform Engineering will be responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving Grantek’s enterprise software development and delivery platforms. This role will own the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps frameworks used across the organization to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient solution delivery.\nThe Lead Engineer/ Designer will manage the internal development toolchains, reusable code libraries, and automation environments, enabling engineering, consulting, and delivery teams to build consistent, high-quality, and repeatable solutions. This position works closely with IT, Digital Enablement, Engineering, and Delivery teams to support digital transformation and AI initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine, implement, and maintain standardized SDLC and DevSecOps frameworks across engineering and software development teams.\n\nGovern and continuously improve enterprise development toolchains, including GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code platforms such as Terraform and Pulumi.\n\nDesign, build, and maintain reusable AI code libraries and modular components to accelerate software delivery.\n\nEmbed security, compliance, and quality controls throughout the development lifecycle using automated testing, code reviews, and version control practices.\n\nPartner with IT and Digital Enablement teams to align infrastructure, licensing, and cybersecurity standards with platform requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain documentation, training materials, and enablement programs to support adoption across teams.\n\nCollaborate with project managers, consulting leaders, and delivery teams to align platform standards with project execution.\n\nTrack and report key performance indicators related to platform adoption, deployment velocity, code reuse, and compliance.\n\nLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, reliability, and engineering efficiency.\n\nResearch and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and automation frameworks.\n\nMentor and guide technical staff within platform engineering.\n\n Required Qualifications\nSenior-level experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or software engineering leadership roles.\n\nProven experience implementing enterprise-grade SDLC and DevSecOps governance frameworks.\n\nStrong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation practices.\n\nHands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, automated testing, and deployment workflows.\n\nExperience with containerization, virtualization, and environment orchestration.\n\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and secure software development.\n\nExperience managing version control, licensing compliance, and intellectual property protection.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with industrial and digital platform SDKs (e.g., Rockwell Studio 5000, Ignition, Sepasoft MES).\n\nExperience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.\n\nBackground in systems integration or large-scale software environments.\n\nKey Skills and Competencies\nDevSecOps and SDLC governance\n\nPlatform engineering and toolchain standardization\n\nReusable code library development\n\nSecurity and compliance by design\n\nCross-functional collaboration\n\nTechnical leadership and mentoring\n\nProcess optimization and continuous improvement\n\nMetrics, reporting, and KPI tracking\n\n We are committed to the principals of equal employment opportunity and to fostering a workplace where all Grantekians feel respected and included.
