Along the way, you’ll tackle challenging problems with a team who welcome your questions and support you as you build your skills and confidence. \nWhat you’llbe doing \nPut your Linux and scripting foundations to work exploring the cloud platforms that support Graphcore’sAI systems. \nAs a Cloud Platform Engineering Intern, you’llhelp deploy, test and monitor services across private and public cloud environments. You’llcontribute through clearly scoped tasks, with guidance from experienced engineers as you build confidence. \nYour tasks could include writing or improving scripts, reviewing metrics and logs, investigating issues and documenting what you learn. You’llsee how automation and monitoring help the team manage high-performance AI infrastructure and how continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure-as-Code are used in real systems. \nYour team and support \nThe Cloud Platform team provides large-scale AI systems through private and public cloud services. Its work brings together Graphcore AI systems, industry-standard servers, switchesand storage. Some environments use pre-release hardware and software, giving you a view of how new technologybecomes usable. \nYou’llwork alongside experienced engineers through sprint activities, technical reviews, project demonstrationsand practical investigations. You can ask for help as you learn, share your progress and use feedback to improve your work on defined tasks. \nDecisions are shaped by evidence, engineering judgementand open discussion. As an intern, you’llbe encouraged to ask questions early, share what you find and try out ideas, with support from experienced engineers as you learn. \nHow you’lllearn and grow \nOver the 12 weeks, you’llbuild practical experience with Linux systems, scripting, automationand monitoring through the work your tasks focus on. \nInvestigating issues with logs and metrics will help you develop a methodical approach to problem solving and understand how cloud services fit together. Technical reviews and project demonstrations will help you explain your findings, learn from feedbackand explore whether platform engineering is a direction you’dlike to pursue. \nYour internship is a chance to explore a future at Graphcore. Depending on your performance and the roles available, there may be an opportunity to join one of our graduate programmes once you’vegraduated. \nWhat we’relooking for \nCurrently studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electronic Engineeringor a related subject \nBasic Linux and command-line experience, gained through study, projectsor independent learning \nSome scripting or programming experience, such as Python, Bashor a similar language \nA methodical approach to investigating technical issues, with clear communication, curiosityand willingness to learn from feedback and take responsibility for defined tasks \nBring an interest in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, networking, CI/CD, monitoringor computer systems. \nPreviousindustry experience is not required.
