We can’t wait to see what you’ll add to the mix!\nAbout the Role\nGraphite is growing rapidly, and we're looking for our first data scientist to support product direction and growth.\nRethinking the way fast-moving eng teams write and review code every day is no small feat, and we believe that the best solutions are built when most talented, ambitious, and dedicated people from diverse backgrounds come together.\nWhat you’ll do\nAnalyze our data (100s of GBs) and help us answer data-driven questions;\nDesign, develop and deploy data models, algorithms, and tools to support data analysis and visualization;\nBuild and maintain a scalable data pipeline that collects, processes and stores data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and availability. Currently we're based on DBT + Segment + Redshift;\nCollaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure data-driven decision making across the organization;\nPerform exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to identify insights and trends that drive product and business decisions;\nDevelop and implement data quality and data governance standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency;\nWork with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements;\nMentor junior data engineers and data analysts, contributing to the growth and development of the data team; and\nStay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering, data science, and analytics, and recommend new solutions and approaches that can benefit the company.\nWhat we’re looking for\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field;\nAt least 4 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines and data models;\nStrong programming skills in SQL;\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their respective data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery);\nExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI;\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in statistical modeling;\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams; and\nSelf-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.\nLife at Graphite\nCompetitive comp: ($200-230k base + substantial equity).
