Let's build the future together.\nAbout the Role \nAs our Senior Accountant, you'll own core pieces of the close and help build the processes, controls, and systems our accounting function will run on as we scale. You'll keep our books accurate and audit-ready under both US GAAP and federal cost accounting rules and help lay the groundwork for a SOX-ready control environment. This is a hands-on build role. You'll design processes, not just maintain them.\nResponsibilities\n\nOwn month-, quarter-, and year-end close for assigned GL areas: journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and flux analysis\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations; research and resolve variances\nPrepare schedules and support for financial statements and related disclosures\nManage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and the fixed asset register for manufacturing and test equipment\nSupport job costing, WIP, and inventory accounting for spacecraft hardware programs\nCalculate and book overhead, fringe, and G&A allocations; support indirect rate development and tracking\nSupport government contract accounting under FAR and CAS, including DCAA readiness, incurred cost submissions, and timekeeping compliance\nSupport revenue recognition on long-term contracts (ASC 606) alongside program and contracts teams\nResearch technical accounting questions and write clear memos documenting conclusions\nDesign, document, and test internal controls over financial reporting, including process narratives and key control descriptions\nPrepare PBC schedules and support internal, external, and government audits\nHelp implement and improve ERP, close automation, and expense tools to shorten the close cycle\nTake on ad-hoc analysis and special projects as the company grows\nPartner with FP&A, Operations, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Legal to keep financial information accurate and useful\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP\nAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas) and hands-on ERP experience\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and clear written and verbal communication\nA builder's mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, high ownership, and a fast-moving startup pace\nBonus Points for\nCPA, or actively pursuing one\nBig 4 or national public accounting audit experience, or accounting experience at a public company\nSOX compliance, ICFR documentation, or public-company readiness experience\nGovernment contract accounting: FAR, CAS, DFARS, DCAA audits, indirect rates\nAerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing background\nExperience with inventory, WIP, or job costing\nExperience with [ERP, e.g., NetSuite], close automation tools (e.g., FloQast), and T&E platforms (e.g., Navan, Concur)\nCompensation and Benefits \nYour level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
