At Gravity Haus, this role is both guest-facing and detail-oriented - supporting members and guests with exceptional service while ensuring all financial processes are accurate and complete. The Night Auditor embodies our values of community, sustainability, and “Haus”pitality, acting as an ambassador for the Gravity Haus experience at all hours.\nKey Responsibilities\nGuest Services & Community\nGreet, check in, and assist late-night and early-morning guests, ensuring a genuine and elevated experience.\nCultivate loyalty and friendships within the Gravity Haus community, educating guests on membership benefits and offerings.\nHandle check-in and check-out protocols using the property management system (PMS).\nAssist with guest room orientation and property tours, ensuring a warm welcome.\nProvide anticipatory guest service, addressing requests proactively and ensuring a comfortable stay.\nRespond to and resolve guest concerns, including billing issues, service challenges, or emergencies, escalating per the phone tree when needed.\nDeliver amenities, assist with luggage, and support maintenance or engineering needs as required.\nOperations & Communication\nServe as the overnight bridge between Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments, ensuring seamless communication.\nUse software to log maintenance issues and connect with operations teams.\nCommunicate efficiently with all Gravity Haus divisions, including participation in company meetings and intercompany Slack channels.\nMaintain and follow up on guest request logs, welcome call logs, and complaint logs.\nManage room blocking, bedding needs, and inventory adjustments to optimize guest satisfaction; ensure rooms are blocked and inventory balanced for the next two days.\nReply to reservation inquiries from direct guests and partners.\nAudit & Accounting (in locations where applicable)\nComplete nightly reconciliation of revenue and room charges, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.\nReview and execute the night audit checklist, preparing and distributing daily reports.\nEnsure arrivals are properly checked in and rooms filed under the correct guest name and room number.\nVerify all registration cards are signed and credit cards on file; conduct bucket checks at least once per shift.\nBalance cash drawers and credit card transactions, ensuring proper handling of a personal cash bank (sign in/out).\nPrint, review, and file emergency reports accurately.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nPrevious front desk, accounting, or hotel operations experience preferred.\nStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational and numerical skills.\nAbility to work independently and stay attentive throughout overnight shifts.\nProficiency with PMS systems, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and willingness to learn GH platforms (Alice, Slack).\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills; customer-focused and calm under pressure.\nPrior experience with night audit or hospitality accounting functions preferred.\nFamiliarity with Toast, Mews, Stripe, or other hotel software systems.\nPhysical Requirements\nStand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).\nAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.\nManual dexterity for handling transactions and computer systems.\nFlexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.\nAbout Gravity Haus\nGravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand with hotels, restaurants, and experiences that empower a modern way of travel.
