Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to drive technical solutions for our enterprise customers and prospects. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen to help companies around the world implement effective carbon and energy management solutions. Furthermore, you will help to scale the sales engineering function at Gravity.
The product is API-first, is AI-native, and has earned the highest marks from third-party analyst groups for its innovative capabilities. This is a high-impact seat.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Senior Account Executives to qualify opportunities, conduct technical discovery, and architect solutions that align with customers' data environments and objectives.
Bridge communication between Sales, Climate Strategy, and Product teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and technical requirements.
Lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for diverse stakeholders, from sustainability professionals to technical teams to senior executives.
Design and document technical solutions that address complex customer requirements while adhering to best practices in carbon accounting and energy management.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of enterprise experience working directly with customers in a pre-sales engineering capacity.
Excitement about applying vertically-integrated AI/Agentic tools to solve hard problems.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
Availability to travel up to 20% of the time for customer meetings and industry events.
Strong track record of influencing stakeholders through technical expertise and understanding of business transformation.
Experience with enterprise software implementations and data integration/ingestion projects.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Qualifications:
Experience with sustainability, carbon accounting, or energy management platforms.
Knowledge of environmental reporting frameworks and ESG standards.
Experience in organizations leveraging Forward Deployed Engineers.
Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise software.
Experience scaling and/or contributing to the sales engineering function at a high-growth company.
Technical certifications relevant to sustainability or enterprise software.
