This is a highly hands-on role, with approximately 95% of your time spent maintaining, repairing, cleaning, and caring for the property-not sitting behind a desk.\nYou’ll be responsible for keeping the hotel safe, functional, clean, and well-presented, with the autonomy to identify priorities, take action, and resolve issues without waiting for direction. You’ll own day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance, proactively address developing problems before they impact guests, and coordinate specialized vendor support when required.\nRevelstoke’s seasons bring very different property needs, so success in this role means planning ahead and making sure the property is ready before the weather and operating conditions change.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintenance & Property Care\nOwn and execute the property’s preventative maintenance program, including inspections, documentation, and follow-up.\nComplete hands-on repairs throughout guest rooms and common areas, including minor plumbing, basic electrical troubleshooting, painting, drywall, furniture, fixtures, doors, and locks.\nPerform routine care and basic troubleshooting of guestroom PTAC units.\nMaintain the hotel’s 10-person hot tub, including cleaning, testing, chemical balancing, and required documentation.\nMaintain tools, parts, filters, chemicals, equipment, and other maintenance supplies.\nIdentify issues early and resolve them internally whenever practical.\nPublic Areas & Guest Experience\nMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout public and back-of-house areas.\nOversee the condition of entrances, hallways, public washrooms, gym, patios, exterior areas, and other shared spaces.\nRespond to maintenance and property-related guest needs with a practical, service-oriented approach.\nTake pride in the overall appearance, functionality, and condition of the property.\nLeadership & Vendors\nPrioritize daily work and ensure preventative and reactive maintenance needs are addressed.\nCoordinate vendors and contractors when specialized work is required.\nMonitor completed work and ensure issues are properly resolved.\nWho You are\n3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel, resort, residential, commercial building, or property environment.\nStrong practical skills in general maintenance and repair.\nExperience troubleshooting basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, fixtures, drywall, and other building systems.\nOrganized and proactive approach to preventative maintenance.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and make practical decisions.\nComfortable working outdoors year-round in Revelstoke’s seasonal conditions.\nHospitality or resort experience is an asset.\nPool or hot-tub operator certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain required training.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to provide direction to another team member.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally\nComfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling throughout shift\nAble to respond quickly to emergencies and reach all areas of the hotel\nWillingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays\nAbout Gravity Haus\nGravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand with hotels, restaurants, and experiences that empower a modern way of travel.
