This individual will partner closely with Accounting, Project Managers, and business leaders to monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights that support business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to strengthen their financial modeling and analytical skills while gaining hands-on experience in a project-based business environment.\nLocation: Pittsburgh, PA (hybrid)\nGeneral Job Duties:\nSupport monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes by gathering financial inputs, updating models, and validating accuracy.\nMaintain project-level revenue, cost, margin, and cash flow forecasts, including revenue recognition schedules.\nPrepare and analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-forecast variances, identifying key drivers and communicating findings to stakeholders.\nReconcile financial forecasts with source data and the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.\nMonitor project resource plans, labor costs, and change orders to ensure accurate financial projections.\nDevelop and maintain financial dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for Finance and Operations leadership.\nAssist with month-end close activities, including accrual reviews, reconciliations, and project financial analysis.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to support pricing analysis, scenario modeling, and new project evaluations.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial models, reporting processes, data accuracy, and documentation.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.\n2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or financial analysis.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, SUMIFS, pivot tables, and financial modeling.\nFamiliarity with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.\nSolid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial reporting.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nSelf-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nThe target annual base compensation for this position is $57,600-$72,000, based on several factors, including with some being relevant qualifications, experience and location.\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.\nPreferred:\nExperience with project-based financial analysis, including percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition.\nExperience with ERP or financial planning systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.\nExposure to industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or infrastructure industries.\nProgress toward a CPA, CMA, or FP&A certification.\nFeatured
