Job Description/Summary:
The videojournalist is an entry-level, yet critical part of the Newsroom. This position is responsible for conducting interviews in the field with community members, shooting video of various events, and then creating and writing content for broadcast and digital platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* A Videojournalist works in the field to create content for both broadcast and digital platforms each day.
* Videojournalists will shoot, write, and edit content as assigned.
* Ideal candidates are ambitious, detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently, and can complete multiple tasks while meeting several deadlines.
* Candidates should possess strong writing and communication skills and work well in a team environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must be comfortable with video cameras and editing equipment.
* Must work well under tight deadlines.
* Ability to communicate clearly with others and work independently.
* Must be flexible with work schedules and be prepared to adapt to changing news landscapes.
