Proficiency in procurement software and tools.\nThis position will require being physically present in the Lexington office (hybrid and remote may be considered).\nThis position has some supervisory responsibilities.\nIf you are a high achiever striving to exceed expectations in a fast-paced innovative company, then Gray is the place for you.\nQualifications\nWhat We Expect\nResponsibilities are expected to be, but are not limited to, the following:\nSupport project teams, focusing on equipment and material procurement, to fulfill Gray’s direct procurement responsibilities on large industrial construction projects\nReview shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work\nManage risk relating to cost guarantees, warranty, and supply of purchases\nOversee the compiling of purchase orders for internal approval and execution of supplier, sometimes following up by reviewing invoices and tracking payments\nPurchase and monitor the delivery of all needed materials/equipment for projects, ensuring optimum prices, quality, and conformance to specifications\nRead project schedules and interpret key dates, to provide updates and forecast potential issues\nManage project timelines and mitigate late deliveries, supply chain issues, supplier performance, etc., in coordination with sourcing teams\nIssue change orders to suppliers as required by design and project management\nPrepare various reports (such as progress analysis, schedules, and status reports) to update procurement leadership and manage projects\nSetup and lead weekly meetings between procurement, technical teams, project management, and customers\nIn coordination with senior management, establish and enforce best practices in procurement to ensure all equipment is purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints, while monitoring ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures\nParticipate in continuous improvement of procurement processes and policies to accommodate changing organizational needs and market conditions\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nThe requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
