At Gray, you’ll find a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.\n“Personal growth precedes Gray’s growth.” - Stephen Gray, President & CEO, Gray, Inc.\nWhat We Expect\nAssist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.\n\nAssist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.\n\nAssist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. Individual poses the ability to assist in coordination/management of all trades throughout build process.\n\nAssist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.\n\nAssist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports.\n\nReview all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times.\n\nAssist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager.\n\nAssist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.\n\nCoordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.\n\nSchedule work, including subcontractors.\n\nAssist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work.\n\nDetermine materials, equipment and tools needed.\n\nSecure appropriate supply sources.\n\nSet up and close out construction site.\n\nServe as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. And also, will be required to participate in the company’s safety portion of the QMS program.\n\nResponsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.\n\nConfers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.\n\nIndividual will consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force.\n\nPrepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports and/or direction from MEP Project Manager.\n\nEstablish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company, industry standard, and job specifications.\n\nWill insure the company QMS program is used and maintained in accordance to company standards. Individual will be able to generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement.\n\nResponsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.\n\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nQualifications\nWho We Want\nAssociate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.\nExperience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.\nExcellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.\nMust be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.\nStrong people management skills.\nMust possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.\nMS project and other scheduling software a plus.\nMust possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.\nMust posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given.\nVisa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nThis position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S..
