We strive to be the best contractor with demonstrating a culture of Safety, Quality and Performance to deliver the best completed projects to our customers.\nSummary:\nThe Safety Technician is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the Graywolf Safety Program demonstrating management skills and the ability to manage all aspects of a project safety program. May be the lead safety manager on a project and will report directly to a Regional Safety Manager. Will demonstrate site management skills of a Safety Manager, with progressively increasing responsibility and authority.\nEssential Duties:\nWork as a leader in the safety department, functioning under the authority and direction of the Project Safety Manager\nSet exemplary standards of ethics and stewardship of the company’s resources, support company philosophy, practice and goals, function as a team player and help to maintain good communication with the Safety Department\nSpend 75% of the time in the field • Assist in writing, organizing and implementing jobsite safety plans\nReview JSA’s and provide feedback to assure continuous improvement\nWork directly with the Site Production Manager and the management team to develop and implement and maintain an effective site-specific safety & environmental plan \nManage the Graywolf injury management program. Set up a working relationship with a local physician, explaining the Graywolf philosophy of managing accidents \nCoordinate and present safety training to support Graywolf and client requirements, including planning, documentation, and presentation to include: New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory, and other accident prevention programs as appropriate. • \nAttend and participate in weekly general safety meeting, weekly supervisor’s safety meeting, and PODs.\nAssist in the creation of incident reports and Lessons Learned documents and assuring quality and accuracy. \nLead incident investigations to identify causal and contributing factors and finally root causes. Assuring corrective actions are identified and reporting progress to completion. • Maintain relations between Graywolf and clients regarding safety matters through effective communication\nTrack, compile, and report leading indicator performance through the SMS to the project leadership team and support initiatives to address negative trending\nCoordinate with Regional Manager on overall program, project training needs, injury management, citation management, OSHA/MSHA reporting requirements, and other applicable matters\nAdminister drug and alcohol policy on site which includes specimen collection \nMaintain jobsite first aid and emergency response supplies \nCreate notices of noncompliance for Graywolf employees and subcontractors • Understand all environmental permitting regulations and measures to ensure compliance\nQualifications & Required Skills:\nMinimum of 5 years of construction safety program management experience and have demonstrated the ability to provide a high level of safety leadership to both management and craft workers.\nCHST preferred (or ability to obtain within one year of employment)\nBA/BS preferred\nOSHA 30 or higher\nEnthusiasm to learn\nMust be flexible to accommodate work in the office and field\nMust be willing to grow as a public speaker\nMust have a basic knowledge of the 1904 OSHA Recordkeeping standard\nDesired Skills or Knowledge\nEnthusiasm to learn\nMust be flexible to accommodate work in the office and field\nMust be willing to grow as a public speaker\nMust be very well-organized and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high rate of accuracy.\nMust be flexible with day-to-day duties and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.\nExperience in O365 - Sharepoint, Teams, Excel and MS Project\nPhysical/Site Requirements:\nLift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.\nMove in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.\nWork up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.\nClimb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.\nWork at heights with fall protection, work from manlifts, baskets, JLG’s etc.\nPPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required. \nGraywolf Integrated Construction Company is an equal opportunity employer.
