The Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining\nthe exterior grounds of the facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and\naesthetically pleasing environment. This role includes routine\nlandscaping, lawn care, and outdoor maintenance tasks. The Grounds\nTechnician will also assist with seasonal duties and collaborate with\nother maintenance staff to ensure the property is well-maintained.\nEssential Duties:\nPerform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and planting.\n\nMaintain flower beds, trees, and shrubs, ensuring proper watering, fertilizing, and pest control.\n\nMonitor and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functioning and scheduling.\n\nKeep walkways, parking areas, and outdoor spaces clear of debris, leaves, snow, and ice.\n\nPerform routine inspections of outdoor equipment and report maintenance needs or repairs.\n\nSafely operate a variety of tools and equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.\n\nOperate heavy equipment such as Man lift, Back-hoe, Dump Truck, Skid Loader with attachments, or other equipment used in the construction, repair, or maintenance of GRDA facilities.\n\nEnsure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials following local environmental regulations.\n\nApply insecticides, pesticides, and other pest control treatments inside the facility and on the grounds.\n\nRemove debris, leaves, and other obstructions from building roofs, gutters, and drains.\n\nPerform power washing of restrooms, balconies, decks, and other surfaces.\n\nRepair and maintain roads and gravel bars.\n\nPrepare and install cement pads for structures or equipment, ensuring proper leveling and durability.\n\nInstall, repair, and maintain cement pads and picnic tables\n\nAttend and participate in quarterly safety meetings and training classes.\n\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nSkills, Knowledge, Qualities:\nGeneral knowledge of handling herbicides.\n\nAbility to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools.\n\nBasic knowledge of plant care, lawn care, and irrigation systems.\n\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.\n\nGood communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.\n\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required, vocational/trade school preferred.\n\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field required.\n\nCertificates, Registrations, Licenses:\nValid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.\n\nObtain Spray Licenses with in first year.\n\nMaintain CEU’s for Spray License.\n\nPhysical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:\nMust be able to lift, move and carry weights of 50 lbs. on a regular basis.\n\nMust be able to perform work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.\n\nRequired to bend, stoop, perform above shoulder work and work with arms extended.\n\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform outdoor labor for extended periods.\n\nPhysical ability to perform tasks that require working at heights and in various weather conditions.\n\nOther information:\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\n\nWork is performed primarily at the Ecosystems Center in Langley, Oklahoma with occasional travel to other GRDA facilities as needed.\n\nCompensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications\n\nHighly competitive benefits package\n\nIf you’re passionate about growth, teamwork, and making an impact, you’ll love building your career with us.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4010,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Natural Resources"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-27T13:45:48Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.858,"p_room":1,"age_days":10,"expected_fill_days":41,"reasons":["conf:1","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/grda-technician-ii-grounds","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/grda-technician-ii-grounds.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T00:52:47Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":922,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4078,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
