The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, electrical/mechanical repairs on facilities related equipment, performing electrical/mechanical preventative maintenance and inspections of cranes and hoists, performs repairs on facilities related equipment such as cranes, conveyors, hoists, jibs, and other facility equipment.\nResponsibilities\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nTroubleshoots and repairs conveyor systems, overhead cranes, dock locks and levelers, pumps, piping, seals and valves, and material handling\nPerforms industrial and commercial lighting system repairs.\nBasic and intermediate hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs \nBasic and intermediate tooling changes\nPerforms office furniture, window, door, and hardware repairs. Repairs floor and wall coverings. \nMaintains and repairs facility structures, walkways, and roadways.\nSafely operates forklift equipment, hoists, and cranes.\nPerform basic intermediate electrical troubleshooting and repairs.\nUnderstands company policies and enforces safety regulations.\nSafely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag out procedures and wearing PPE as required. \nOperates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.\nAbility to navigate CMMS system - Maximo \nQualifications\nYOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical issues on cranes, jibs, and hoists.\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems.\nAssociate degree in industrial technology, Industrial Mechanical, Industrial Electrical, HVAC or related program.\nExperience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, cranes and hoists, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, overhead doors, and service doors, \nExperience troubleshooting, repairing, and working safely with 480v 3 phase electrical components.\nBasic understanding of PLC’s and low voltage controls.\nExperience with maintaining basic plumbing needs.\nHigh school graduate or demonstrated equivalent.\n2 years’ experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing facility or similar environment.\nPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:\nCan regularly lift up to 50 lbs.\nCan regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.\nHave the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.\nCan regularly kneel repetitive for shift.\nCan move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.\nCan stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.\nCan walk extensively throughout the plant for shift.\nCoping with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. \nMust wear steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses and gloves. \nThe employer will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.\nEmployees must wear all mandated PPE which includes, at a minimum, protection for the eyes, ears, hands, head, body, and feet.\nABOUT GREAT DANE\nWith a history dating back to 1900, Great Dane has established itself as a transportation solutions leader of today - delivering innovative products and exceptional services that help our customers and employees succeed.
