We are seeking a forward-looking Senior Project Manager to lead technology initiatives across the Audit, Risk & Compliance portfolio. You will connect business outcomes, technology delivery, governance and change adoption, while identifying practical opportunities to apply AI and automation. You will own delivery from problem definition through implementation and benefits realisation. You must translate complex topics into clear decisions, build a credible narrative for different audiences and communicate project progress through concise, evidence-based storytelling.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects and change initiatives across Audit, Risk & Compliance, covering discovery, planning, requirements, solution delivery, testing, deployment, adoption and benefits tracking.
- Frame business problems clearly, define measurable outcomes and maintain alignment between business needs, technology solutions and portfolio priorities.
- Build integrated project plans covering milestones, dependencies, resources, budget, procurement, vendors, risks, controls and delivery readiness.
- Use Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methods based on the nature, risk and maturity of the initiative.
- Identify and assess practical uses of AI, generative AI, analytics and automation in project delivery and business processes, with appropriate controls for security, privacy, accuracy and responsible use.
- Use AI-enabled tools to improve delivery productivity, such as requirements analysis, traceability, risk identification, test coverage, status synthesis and knowledge management.
- Turn complex project information into a clear story for senior management, steering committees, business users and technical teams. Present the context, evidence, options, trade-offs, recommendation and decision required.
- Establish transparent project reporting using measurable outcomes, delivery forecasts, decision logs, risk trends and benefits metrics rather than activity-only updates.
- Lead stakeholders across business, technology, cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, procurement, legal, compliance and vendors to resolve issues and make timely decisions.
- Manage vendor performance, contract deliverables, scope, commercials, service levels and dependencies. Challenge unclear assumptions and protect the organisation from delivery and support gaps.
- Apply internal governance, SDLC, change management, security, risk and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Anticipate delivery risks, dependencies and emerging technology impacts. Develop options and mitigation plans before they affect committed outcomes.
- Lead or support RFP processes, evaluate solution proposals, assess delivery approaches and recommend options that best meet business and technology objectives.
- Facilitate Steering Committees and governance forums, presenting project status, risks, options and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Assess initiative feasibility, delivery complexity, operating impacts and expected benefits to support investment and prioritisation decisions.
- Optimise resource allocation across multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.
- Promote accountability, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and disciplined execution across project teams.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Have 8 to 10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years leading medium to large enterprise technology projects.
- Have a strong record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle, including business change, system implementation, integration, data migration or platform modernisation.
- Can work across both modern and legacy environments, and can manage dependencies among applications, APIs, data, infrastructure and external services.
- Have practical AI literacy or experience applying AI, generative AI, analytics or automation to project delivery or business processes. Formal AI product delivery experience is an advantage, but curiosity and demonstrated application are equally important.
- Can evaluate an AI use case beyond the concept stage, including business value, data readiness, human oversight, security, privacy, operational support and measurable outcomes.
- Communicate with clarity and influence. You can explain technical and risk topics in business language and use structured storytelling to support decisions.
- Use data and evidence to challenge assumptions, prioritize work and provide realistic delivery forecasts.
- Have strong stakeholder, vendor, commercial and negotiation skills, including experience managing outsourced delivery and support arrangements.
- Understand SDLC, Agile and Waterfall delivery, testing, release management, production readiness, governance and technology risk controls.
- Demonstrate sound judgement, ownership and calm decision-making in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, audit, risk, compliance or regulatory change is an advantage.
- Champion and embody our Core Values in everyday tasks and interactions.
- Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability.
- Take initiative to drive improvements and embrace change.
- Take accountability of business and regulatory compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.
- Keep abreast with industry trends, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats and technologies to understand and highlight potential concerns/ risks to safeguard our company proactively.
