This individual will serve as a strategic driver of complex, high-stakes implementation projects including mergers and acquisitions, private asset onboarding, and systems integrations ensuring delivery on time, on scope, and aligned to client expectations. The role requires a polished communicator, a rigorous planner, and a steady leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment.\nLocation\nThis position will work from our Boston, MA office. Great Gray currently supports a hybrid work model with 4 days onsite, and 1 day remote.\nVisa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.\nResponsibilities\nLead end-to-end project management for complex implementation engagements, including full project lifecycle planning, scope definition, resource coordination, and risk management.\nDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive dashboards; proactively surface issues and drive resolution.\nManage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.\nPartner with internal teams - legal, compliance, operations, technology, and client services - to ensure alignment and seamless execution.\nDrive project management activities supporting M&A transactions, including due diligence coordination, integration planning, data migration, and Day 1 readiness.\nCoordinate across workstreams to track milestones, manage dependencies, and ensure integration activities are completed within defined timelines.\nDevelop communication plans, cutover playbooks, and transition documentation to support M&A events from announcement through stabilization.\nManage implementation projects related to private asset strategies, including onboarding interval funds, BDCs, and private credit vehicles into trust and CIT structures.\nOversee technology and systems implementation projects, managing vendor relationships, UAT coordination, and go-live planning.\nTranslate complex operational and technical requirements into structured project plans with clear accountability.\nServe as the primary point of contact for key project stakeholders; facilitate steering committee meetings, working sessions, and executive briefings.\nBuild trusted relationships with clients, plan sponsors, and external partners throughout the implementation lifecycle.\nEscalate risks and issues appropriately and communicate status with clarity and transparency at all levels of the organization.\nComplete other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's degree and 7+ years of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of managing large-scale, complex implementations.\nBackground in an implementation, operations, or solutions role within a trust company, recordkeeper, or asset manager, with strong working knowledge of trust, retirement, and institutional investment products - including Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), defined contribution plans, private asset strategies (interval funds, BDCs, private credit), and 3(38) investment management structures.\nDirect experience managing projects within mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution.\nHands-on experience leading technology or systems implementation projects, including vendor management, UAT, and deployment coordination.\nPMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.\nExceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams simultaneously.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and external clients.\nProficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project, or equivalent).\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.\nComfortable navigating ambiguity.\nEntrepreneurial mindset to bring best practice ideas to the team.\nYour standards reflect our core values: Growth Mindset, Disciplined Curiosity, Grit, Results Ownership, Collaboration.\nBase Pay Range*\n$140,000-$175,000\n*This base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.\nThe pay range displayed above is the base pay compensation range that Great Gray expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range, or that may warrant a provision for pay beyond this range, depends on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, candidate’s prior education and relevant work experience and training as well as position location and local market demands.
