This role involves ensuring the efficient, effective, and professional delivery of meals to homebound seniors, as well as reviewing paperwork to ensure accuracy and correspondence with all deliveries.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure the health, safety, and well-being of clients during delivery operations\nStrong interpersonal skills for face-to-face client services interactions\nCapability to monitor clients’ needs effectively\nAbility to maintain the proper temperature of meals during transportation\nSkillfully and responsibly operate a motor vehicle in accordance with safety regulations and company policies\nProficiency in meal assembly at each delivery stop\nKnowledge of proper food handling techniques\nFamiliarity with emergency procedures and protocols\nAssist in loading the company vehicle with pack-out and all other items for delivery\nEnsure that the packed load is secure and ready for transport\nMaintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, warehouse, and loading dock spaces; clean racks, throw away trash, sweep, and remove empty boxes, etc.\nInform the Director of Dispatch and Delivery Operations of any discrepancies found on event paperwork\nMaintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, warehouse, and loading dock spaces; clean racks, throw away trash, sweep, and remove empty boxes, etc.\nQualifications:\nMinimum 1 year of prior NYC driving experience \nMust hold a valid driver's license, specifically a regular license for a car, a Class D or E license for a van weighing 26,000 lbs. or less, or a commercial license A or B for vehicles weighing 26,001 lbs. or more. \nApplicants who present an out-of-state license upon hiring and are residents of New York State must obtain a New York State license within 30 days of becoming a permanent resident.
