We have also recently become a bank!\nAbout the Internship\nThe Operations Rotational Summer Internship is designed to provide college students with broad exposure to GreatAmerica’s operational career paths through hands-on experience across key functions that support the customer and transaction lifecycle. Interns will rotate through Portfolio Management, Account Support, Sales Support, and Documentation to gain a practical understanding of how these teams work together to serve customers, support transactions, and drive operational excellence.\nThis internship is ideal for students who are curious, relationship-oriented, adaptable, and interested in learning how different operational teams contribute to a strong customer experience and efficient business processes.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs an Operations Rotational Summer Intern, you will participate in a structured summer experience that includes onboarding, training, job shadowing, functional rotations, meaningful daily work, team meetings, and mini-projects.\nYou will gain exposure to:\nPortfolio Management: Learn about portfolio monitoring, risk concepts, and business analysis.\n\nAccount Support: Support customer service activities and gain exposure to relationship management\n\nSales Support: Learn how teams support customer communication, transaction support, and program execution.\n\nDocumentation: Gain exposure to contract accuracy, compliance, and funding preparation.\n\nThroughout the internship, you will have opportunities to:\nBuild an understanding of the end-to-end customer and transaction lifecycle.\n\nShadow team members and leaders across multiple Operations functions.\n\nContribute to meaningful projects and daily work that support business needs.\n\nStrengthen communication skills through frequent transitions, stakeholder interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.\n\nDevelop enterprise thinking by seeing how operational teams connect rather than working in functional silos. Participate in a capstone project focused on improving the customer experience and operational efficiency across the transaction lifecycle.\n\nCapstone Experience\nUsing what you learn throughout the rotations, you will work with fellow interns to explore the question: “How can we improve the customer experience and operational efficiency across the transaction lifecycle?” As part of this project, interns will interview stakeholders, analyze processes, identify opportunities, and present recommendations to Operations Leadership.\nWhat You’ll Gain\nThis internship is designed to help you build skills aligned with GreatAmerica values, including customer orientation, accountability, communication, future readiness, teamwork, and adaptability.\nInterns will leave the program with:\nA broader understanding of operational career paths within GreatAmerica.\n\nExposure to multiple teams that influence customer outcomes.\n\nExperience working on real projects with measurable business impact\n\nStronger cross-functional relationships and communication skills.\n\nPractical insight into how customer experience, operational efficiency, compliance, and transaction support connect across the business.\n\nAttributes\nWe are looking for students who are eager to learn, comfortable asking questions, and excited to build a broad understanding of business operations.\nStrong candidates will demonstrate:\nInterest in business operations, customer service, finance, leasing, process improvement, or relationship management.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nCuriosity and willingness to learn across multiple functional areas.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing assignments, teams, and priorities.\n\nAttention to detail and commitment to quality work.\n\nA collaborative mindset and desire to build relationships across teams.\n\nAccountability, follow-through, and ownership of assigned work.\n\nComfort working independently and as part of a team.\n\nEducation\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, communications, supply chain, operations, or a related field.\n\nJuniors are preferred\n\nExperience\nPrior customer service, office, administrative, leadership, or project experience is helpful but not required.\n\nComputer Skills\nMicrosoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook\n\nWhy This Internship\nThis rotational experience gives interns a more complete view of how GreatAmerica serves customers and supports transactions from start to finish.
