This role is a unique opportunity to help shape the GreatAmerica customer experience and support daily branch operations.\nThe Teller is responsible for processing customer transactions, maintaining cash and ATM controls, and completing required daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and security in all teller and branch capture activities while supporting branch operations through reporting, reconciliation, and proper documentation.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nProcess customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, check orders, and related services.\nBalance individual cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.\nFollow established cash handling, dual-control, and security procedures at all times.\nAssist with daily opening and closing teller procedures, including securing cash, drawers, and work areas.\nRun daily Branch Capture work, confirm capture completion, and secure work in accordance with bank procedures.\nAssist in processing and balancing ATM and night deposit activity using dual-control procedures.\nIdentify and escalate transaction issues, system concerns, or customer questions to appropriate branch staff.\nComplete required compliance documentation related to teller transactions, including internal Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), as needed.\nProvide professional, courteous customer service while maintaining confidentiality of customer information.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked teller workstation.\nCompliance & Controls\nAdhere to all bank policies, procedures, and internal control standards.\nMaintain confidentiality of customer and bank information at all times.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nCustomer service, retail, or cash-handling experience preferred.\nPrior banking or teller experience helpful but not required.\nAbility to learn banking systems, procedures, and controls through on-the-job training.\nSkills & Abilities\nBasic cash handling and transaction processing skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to follow established procedures and security requirements.\nBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn banking systems.\nAbility to manage routine daily tasks and meet deadlines.\nAbility to identify errors and escalate appropriately.\nBank positions require a consistent onsite presence and fixed schedules to ensure customer service, coverage, and compliance.
