Salary range offered is $75,000-$87,000 annually.\nSupervise Melt operations by setting goals, organizing and assigning work, selecting and developing employees, and maintaining a productive work environment to meet established production schedules.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and supervise melt operations on your assigned shift to achieve production, safety, and quality goals.\nPlan, coordinate, and oversee daily melt operations while maintaining production schedules.\nCreate and maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with all safety requirements.\nTrain and develop team members on safety procedures, quality standards, and job-specific responsibilities.\nEvaluate employee performance related to safety, quality, attendance, and overall job performance, providing coaching, counseling, or corrective action when needed.\nAssist with planning and coordinating major equipment rebuilds and relines.\nSupport budgeting, inventory management, cost control, and the evaluation of new methods and materials to improve operations.\nEnsure proper use and maintenance of testing equipment.\nMaintain adequate raw materials, supplies, and tools to support production needs.\nTroubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.\nFoster open communication with leadership, peers, production teams, and cross-functional departments.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, work rules, and regulations.\nWear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a culture of safety.\n\nWhy You'll Love Working With Us\nWellness programs and access to our Worksite Wellness Center for employees and their family members\nComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage\nCompany-paid Life Insurance, with Supplemental Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability options available\nCompetitive 401(k) plan with company match\nPaid vacation and company holidays\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) to support your overall well-being\nPPE allowances to help keep you safe on the job\n\nWhat We Need From You\nBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nThree to five years of manufacturing or industrial leadership experience, preferably in melt, foundry, or heavy manufacturing operations.\nProven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a production environment.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExperience coordinating production activities while balancing safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.\nWorking knowledge of inventory control, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement principles.\nCommitment to workplace safety and willingness to wear all required PPE.\n\nGrede is proud to support transitioning service members and current military veterans with career opportunities that are a match for their skills gained while serving our country.
