Salary offered: $65K-$77K annually\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise, plan, and coordinate mold and pour operations on assigned shift to maintain production schedules and quality and cost standards and to maximize efficiency.\nEnsure quality of work, efficient material and workflow, proper use and care of equipment and machines, and proper application of production methods.\nSelect and train employees in mold and pour operations.\nEvaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to maintain safe and efficient work performance.\nOrganize and assign work to utilize employees' knowledge, skills, and abilities to the best advantage to expedite work schedules and obtain efficient work performance.\nMaintain close observation over operations, guiding employees concerning proper mold making.\nMaintain adequate supply of raw materials, production supplies, and tools to support continuous operations.\nEnsure tools and equipment are maintained in proper working order.\nAnalyze equipment or machine problems, quality problems, and production delays; expedite repairs and/or corrective actions to minimize downtime and work schedule interruption.\nCoordinate equipment repair with maintenance department, as required.\nMaintain open communications with employees and work with employees to mutually resolve problems to enhance morale and promote a union-free environment.\nMaintain conformance with company policies, work rules, and regulations, coaching employees and/or initiating disciplinary actions, as required.\nMaintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes, or equipment that improve quality and efficiency and reduce cost.\nEnforce the proper use of safety equipment and maintain departmental housekeeping to produce a safe work environment.\nCoach employees to reinforce safe work practices.\nMaintain communications with other molding shifts and with other departments to promote efficient operations.\n\nWhy You'll Love Working With Us:\nComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage\nCompany-paid Life Insurance, with Supplemental Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability options available\nCompetitive 401(k) plan with company match\nPaid vacation and company holidays\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) to support your overall well-being\nPPE allowances to help keep you safe on the job\n\nWhat We Need From You:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.\n3–5 years of manufacturing or industrial leadership experience; foundry or heavy manufacturing preferred.\nProven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.\nStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to balance safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nKnowledge of inventory, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement.\nCommitment to safety and required PPE.\n\nGrede is proud to support transitioning service members and current military veterans with career opportunities that are a match for their skills gained while serving our country.
