Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nOperate forklift to move raw materials, finished goods, containers, and supplies to appropriate areas.\nLoad and unload trucks, trailers, racks, and containers as required.\nTransport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.\nSupply production lines with required materials in a timely manner.\nRemove finished product and transport to designated storage or staging areas.\nInspect forklift prior to use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.\nFollow all established safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.\nComplete material movement tickets and related paperwork accurately.\nEnsure the good quality and condition of materials being handled.\nMaintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.\nExhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.\nExtend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.\nExceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.\nExercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.\nSecure proper tools and equipment for each task.\nCommunicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operation.\nApproach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.\nAssist in other areas as needed.\nPerform other assignments as may be requested.\n\nWhy You'll Love Working for Us:\nComprehensive Benefit Package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverages\nInsurance: Life, Supplemental Life, Short and Long-Term Disability\n401(K) Match, Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nPaid Vacation and Holidays\nPPE allowances\nWhat We Need from You:\nRequires ability to read and write, add and subtract, use direct reading and fixed gauges.\nUp to and including three months experience.\nMinimum judgment and work with simple equipment.\nPrevious forklift experience preferred.\nGrede is proud to support transitioning service members and current military veterans with career opportunities that are a match for their skills gained while serving our country.
