You'll perform general diagnostics and programming of PLCs using an understanding of PLC operations. This position handles the installation, diagnostics, programming, and repair of robotic equipment as well as the safe and timely installation and maintenance of electrical control systems. You'll have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments to identify, define, and solve problems.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAssist in the design and installation of electrical systems on machines and equipment with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)\nAssist in the diagnosis and design of electrical equipment for installation.\nInstall and maintain plant electrical systems for power, lighting, controls, and facilities in accordance with local codes and safety requirements.\nInspect, isolate, and troubleshoot electrical or PLC programming problems or operating difficulties.\nAssist plant engineering and contractors with electrical systems on new installations or modifications\nDetermine the need for and effect of repairs and adjustments.\nWork from manufacturing drawings, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. \nTrain and assist lower-rate maintenance electricians and mechanics.\nPerform emergency repairs, when necessary, to prevent breakdowns or electrical stoppage.\nPerform analysis of electrical systems to prevent breakdown or electrical stoppage.\nObserve extreme caution and good safety practices while servicing plant electrical systems.\nPerform mechanical troubleshooting and repair assignments, as required.\nApply understanding of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, AC, DC, and 3 Phase circuits, motor-generator principles, motor control theory, motor drive and coupling alignment, electrical code, electrical control devices, high voltage maintenance, electrical test equipment, panel building and wiring, and basic PLC logic.\nPersonal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working for Us:\nCompetitive wages plus incentives\n401(k) with company match\nMedical and Dental Insurance\nPaid holidays and vacation\nCompany-paid Short-Term Disability\n\nWhat We Need from You:\nWorking knowledge of PLC system design, troubleshooting, programming, logic commands, software, and hardware from a variety of PLC manufacturers.\nHands-on experience with robotics; ABB systems preferred\nStandard computer skills plus strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques.
