The starting pay is $17 - $20 Hourly (plus $1 shift premium)\n\nIn this role, you will inspect castings to ensure quality standards are met. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production. \n\nWhat You'll Do:\nExhibit superior safety practices every day, always evidenced by outstanding housekeeping.\nExtend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.\nExceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.\nExercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.\nInspect castings using measuring instruments and equipment such as calipers, pin gauges, templates, surface gauges, and dental mirrors, etc., as required.\nSeparate scrap castings from other castings that do not conform to quality or customer specifications. \nMap scrap defects using electronic scrap database.\nDocument quality information on appropriate form or information system. \nData entry to create Final Release tags for all containers.\nPackage or band skids when needed for final product or scrap.\nBrinell per process card at predetermined intervals. \nSecure proper tools for each task\nCommunicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operation\nApproach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member\nPerform other assignments as may be requested\n\nWhat We Need from You:\nRequires decimals and fractions, drawings and formulas, adjustable measuring instruments. \nOver one year, up to three years of experience.\nJudgment to perform work and make decisions as to setups and quality. \nJob may require consistent heavy lifting - up to 50 pounds\nJob may require daily overtime and/or weekend work as operational needs dictate\n\nWhy You'll Love Working for Us:\nComprehensive Benefit Package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverages \nInsurance: Life, Supplemental Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability\nWellness Programs and access to Worksite Wellness Center, including family members\n401(K) Match, Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nPaid Vacation and Holidays\nPPE allowances\n\nGrede is proud to support transitioning service members and current military veterans with career opportunities that are a match for their skills gained while serving our country.
