You will own MIS, budgeting and performance analysis across our business verticals, build the processes that bring data in from each vertical on a regular cadence, and work in collaboration with the Finance Team. You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Management and heads of each vertical, and your work will directly inform management, pricing, investment and operating decisions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMIS and reporting:\nPrepare and publish the monthly MIS pack for management: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow summaries, key metrics and commentary on what is driving the numbers. This would also involve fetching numbers from the various product dashboards and estimating the unbilled numbers to come up with real-time management reports on MIS.\nMaintain consolidated MIS across our group entities, including our wholly owned subsidiaries in Singapore and the US, and make sure it reconciles to the books of account.\nProduce periodic dashboards and reports for the leadership team and for the board and investors, as required.\n\nData collection and process design:\nSet up and own standard processes, templates and timelines for collecting financial and operational data from each business vertical.\nWork with business, product and engineering teams to get reliable data sources, and move reporting from manual spreadsheets towards automated, repeatable workflows.\nDefine data ownership, sign-off and cut-off rules so that figures reported to management are consistent and auditable.\n\nAnalysis:\nCarry out vertical-wise profitability and performance analysis, including revenue, gross and net margins, cost of revenue, marketing, server and employee costs, working capital and return metrics.\nPrepare monthly trend analysis and identify patterns, anomalies and early warning signals for the Head of Finance and vertical heads.\nPerform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, with clear explanations of causes and recommended actions.\n\nBudgeting and forecasting:\nLead the annual budget cycle and periodic re-forecasts in coordination with management, vertical heads and the Head of Finance.\nBuild and maintain financial models for planning, scenario analysis and new initiatives.\nTrack budget utilisation through the year and flag overruns or shortfalls early.\n\nBusiness partnering:\nAct as the finance point of contact for vertical heads, challenging assumptions and supporting decisions on pricing, investment and cost.\nSupport ad hoc analysis for the leadership team, including fundraising and other corporate actions, where required.\n\nCollaboration and controls:\nWork alongside the Finance team, building on the existing processes and agreeing clear ownership of MIS, analysis, budgeting and data collection.\nShare templates, methods and good practices in collaboration with the team to achieve improvement in the quality and speed of execution.\nWork with the accounting, tax and compliance teams so that MIS and statutory numbers agree, and support audit requests.\nMaintain documentation of processes, models and definitions so that the work does not depend on any one person.\n\nQualifications And Experience:\nChartered Accountant, or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution, or CFA with strong FP&A exposure.\nTeam player with 5-7 years of experience in management reporting, MIS, FP&A or business finance.\nStrong working knowledge of Ind AS and management accounting.\nAdvanced Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint and strong financial modelling skills.\nFamiliarity with accounting software - Zoho and QuickBooks.\nExperience in the ad-tech industry is a plus.
