Utilizes precision measuring instruments and quality assurance methodologies to identify defects and ensure traceability.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nInspects incoming products to verify proper documentation and conformance to purchase orders and engineering specifications.\nInspects aircraft wiring assemblies to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.\nPerforms receiving inspections and generates formal inspection reports.\nCompletes FAA and customer-required certification documents.\nCreates and maintains First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent.\nVerify inclusion of all material and process certificates for traceability.\nCoordinates with stakeholders as required to accurately describe nonconforming conditions for rejected parts.\nWorks closely with FAA DAR. Minimum of three years’ experience in aircraft interior inspection or related aerospace quality role.\nThis safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a \"safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be requiredbased on specific circumstances. \nUS Person Required - this position requires special access. A US Person is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes. \nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nAbility to lead personnel and have strong interpersonal skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels within the department.\nWorking knowledge of various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.\nFamiliar with Quality and inspection concepts and processes.\nAbility to read blueprints, pack slips, invoices, and other customer supplied data.\nAbility to read measuring instruments.\nFamiliar with engineering programs.\nCapability to determine sample size for lots.\nMathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.\nStrong time-management and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to coordinate and handle multiple priorities within deadlines and take initiative to produce results with minimal supervision.\nAbility to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally).\nFamiliarity with AS9100 preferred.\nAbility to travel as required.\nAbility to work outside of core business hours as required.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds independently; up to 100 pounds with assistance.\nAbility to reach overhead.\nAbility to work in a non-dust-free environment.\nAbility to pass Jaeger J-1 in at least one eye, natural or corrected (20/25 vision) for near vision acuity and shall be capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved.\nFull range of motion with both hands.\nAbility to work in a stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas.\nThe expected WA salary range for this position is between $51,000.00 - $70,000.00. Actual compensation will be determinedbased on experience, education, location, and other factors permittedby law.
