Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Billing Supervisor.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for the full life cycle of the invoice preparation process while ensuring that all invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. This role demands strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff. Candidate must be flexible to work overtime as needed.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEdits Prebills via Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on the request from the Billing Attorneys\nGenerates a high volume of complex client invoices via Aderant.\nEnsures that all invoices are compliant with the billing guidelines and that all required supporting documentation is compiled prior to submission.\nSubmits ebills via EHub, including all supporting documentation.\nMonitors and immediately address any invoice rejections, reductions, and those needing appeals.\nResponds to billing inquiries.\nUndertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed and/or requested.\nQualifications:\nSkills & Competencies\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor, and presentation.\nEffectively prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced environment.\nHighly motivated self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision, as well as take a proactive approach in a team setting.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nTakes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills.\nMust be proactive in identifying billing issues and providing possible solutions.\nMust have the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.\nAbility to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships within all levels of the firm.\nEducation & Prior Experience\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance\nTechnology\nProficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required\nAderant or Elite/3E preferred, Prebill Viewer, E-billing Hub, Bill Blast\nProficiency in Excel required.\nUnderstanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.\nFamiliarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support daily workflow and/or improve work quality. \nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from workstation or desk throughout the work area to work independently or with a team to meet with colleagues or supervisor and retrieve work assignments.\nThis position
