We are more than products, we are a team of inspired people doing extraordinary things.\nAs a Controls Engineer II, you will work closely with sales, marketing, design engineering, and manufacturing to improve processes, implement testing procedures, and drive operational efficiency with regards to electrical designs and direct digital controls programming for air handling products.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\nDevelop new controls product designs and redesigns in coordination with sales, marketing, service, and manufacturing functions. Ensure products meet control design functionality of required points of operation and design intent.\n\nIdentify controls strategies for optimal use of product applications. Review, clarify, and validate deliverables to both internal and external customers.\n\nDevelop bill of materials, complete IAN, and communicate translation requirement related to new or changed designs.\n\nSupport and/or manage the transition from design into production, including any necessary testing and training required for implementing new or changed designs. May also be required to evaluate equipment and facility capabilities when assessing the cost effectiveness of a new design.\n\nIdentify product defects and assist with product quality improvements through hardware and software design and/or functionality changes.\n\nParticipate in value engineering projects to continually improve designs and processes.\n\nGather information on competitive product offerings and understand the strengths/weaknesses of Greenheck Group products vs. our competition.\n\nAssisting in job sites to review installation and/or design problems and resolve the situation.\n\nProvide technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external customers including the areas of product selection and application.\n\nProvide content for the development and updating of product literature.\n\nMaintain accurate and current documentation on design changes and requests.\n\nCommunicate solutions for unique applications including design and special pricing.\n\nOrganize and present training seminars internally and externally.\n\nProvide basic to moderately complex technical and application expertise for general knowledge of related control products.\n\nCreation of new procedures and processes. Often responsible for identifying changes that need to be made in current procedures.\n\nSupport and/or manage the prototyping and testing of new designs, including the interpretation of test results. May be required to set up and run equipment in house.\n\nCollaborate with the shop floor and listen to their ideas and opportunities. Identify, prioritize, and implement short and long term corrective actions.\n\nReview/evaluate returned goods and determine root cause of failures and disposition of materials.\n\nWill provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.\n\nParticipation in cross functional project teams as the representative SME for Controls Engineering.\n\nEvaluate material selection, cost analysis, and vendors as required to implement new designs. Review, along with purchasing personnel, the selection and specification of new purchased component parts for product designs.\n\nWHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE\n3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.\n\n2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.\n\n4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nGreenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program.The starting base pay range for this position is $95,161-$117,552 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
