This includes database development, data warehousing, data integration, data movement, and data platform administration.\nThe Data Engineer works closely with Business Information Services (BIS) team members, system administrators, business stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable data solutions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data pipelines, integrating internal and external systems, administering enterprise data environments, and supporting the organization's transition to modern cloud-based technologies including Microsoft Fabric and data lake architectures.\nYOUR ROLE IN SERVING OUR CLIENTS AND ASSISTING DIVISIONS INCLUDES:\nData Platform Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain SQL databases, data warehouse, and related data structures.\nDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.\nSupport the ongoing administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of enterprise database environments.\nDesign and implement scalable data models to support operational and analytical workloads.\nMonitor and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and reliability issues.\nData Integration & Engineering\nDesign, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.\nSupport data movement between internal and external systems using APIs, middleware, file transfers, and integration platforms.\nDevelop and maintain automated processes for importing, exporting, transforming, and validating data.\nTroubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.\nParticipate in data migration, conversion, and modernization initiatives.\nModern Data Platform Support\nAssist in the implementation, administration, and support of Microsoft Fabric solutions.\nSupport the development and maintenance of enterprise data lake and lakehouse environments.\nWork with consulting partners to learn and assume ownership of modern data platform administration and support.\nParticipate in the evaluation and implementation of emerging data technologies and best practices.\nContribute to future-state architecture supporting analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence initiatives.\nSupport the development and maintenance of enterprise ontologies, semantic models, and business definitions that improve data consistency, discoverability, and AI readiness.
