In addition to traditional finance responsibilities of developing budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reports, this role will have significant involvement in new product analysis, data analytics, strategic projects, and company-wide planning. This role is fast-paced and will have a direct impact on the company's ability to make key business decisions and grow efficiently.\nYour day-to-day:\nEstablish close cross-functional working relationships with business leaders to develop an understanding of their issues and needs; act as a liaison between these business leaders and executive management to drive attainment of business goals\nSupport our product, engineering, marketing, and commercial sales teams with detailed custom financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market insights for prospective products and initiatives\nAnalyze actual financial results vs budget/forecast and partner with business leaders to drive insightful and actionable decision support\nSupport investor relations and corporate development activities, such as peer company benchmarking and evaluation of strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, and acquisition targets\nOwn or contribute to forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and annual/long-range planning processes.\nSupport the Accounting Team in month-end and quarter-end close processes and audit support\nWhat you’ll bring to the team:\nExperience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, management consulting, or a high-growth company (experience in FinTech is a plus)\n5+ years directly relatable work experience\nStrong leadership and communication skills\nAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling and technical skills\nExcellent analytical skills and mindset\nProven ability to influence across functions and levels\nEnthusiasm to learn and evolve skillset over time\nStrong accounting and systems knowledge (experience using financial planning software is a plus) \nStrong data visualization skills and an ability to synthesize complicated analyses in simple ways\nWhat we're looking for in you:\nData driven approach to analyze problems and drive actionable insights based on a strong understanding of consumer subscription or FinTech business models and the metrics that drive them (CAC, LTV, retention, cohort analysis, ARPU). Familiarity with consumer retail and hardware business models is a plus.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills. Not afraid to speak up when seeking answers to critical issues and comfortable presenting recommendations to executives.\nBusiness curiosity. Desire to understand how the business works and is comfortable asking the “why” behind the drivers/numbers.\nStrategic thinker with a strong ownership mentality. Ability to zoom out to the big picture, while staying detail oriented and committed to producing work at a high standard.\nCreative mindset for building bespoke financial models from scratch for a diverse set of cross-functional needs. \nAdaptability and flexibility.
