Our mission-driven culture values collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.\nPosition Purpose\nThe Software Development Team Lead provides technical and people leadership to GreenPath’s software developers, supporting the successful design, development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of internal and external-facing applications.\nThis position establishes work priorities and quality expectations while coaching and developing team members. The Team Lead works closely with Architecture, DevOps, Quality Assurance, Application Support, and business stakeholders to achieve project milestones, uphold secure development practices, and deliver reliable, high-quality technology solutions.\nResponsibilities\nLead a team of software developers through the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of internal and external-facing applications.\nProvide hands-on technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to support individual and team development.\nEstablish work priorities and monitor progress to ensure projects and production-support needs are completed effectively and with a strong focus on quality.\nApply secure software development lifecycle methodologies and ensure adherence to development processes, coding standards, testing practices, and secure coding requirements.\nCreate, review, and promote best practices related to application design, software development, coding, and testing.\nCollaborate with Architecture, DevOps, Quality Assurance, Application Support, and other GreenPath stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet the needs of employees, clients, and partners.\nEvaluate and apply emerging tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve code quality, productivity, efficiency, and innovation.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including infrastructure and architecture diagrams, platform specifications, application requirements, process flows, and system integration documentation.\nManage production-support priorities and ensure technical issues are investigated and addressed in a timely manner.\nConduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective or preventive actions to reduce recurring production issues.\nManage team resources, monitor work assignments, identify resource needs, and address functional, quality, or productivity concerns.\nFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging team environment that balances innovation and professional growth with accountability, productivity, and quality.\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\n8 or more years of practical software engineering experience.\nDemonstrated experience providing technical leadership, coaching, or mentoring to software developers.\nStrong experience developing applications using C# and JavaScript/TypeScript.\nExperience with single-page application frameworks, particularly Angular.\nExperience developing or integrating microservices and APIs using RESTful, SOAP, or gRPC technologies.\nWorking knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as Entity Framework, NHibernate, or Dapper.\nExperience with source control systems such as Git, SVN, or TFS.\nFamiliarity with software development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Agile.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production-support needs simultaneously.\nAbility to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation in two-week periods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.\nExperience with Azure DevOps and modern continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.\nExperience with unit testing concepts and Test-Driven Development.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, productivity, or development efficiency.\nExperience creating technical assessments, architecture diagrams, application workflows, or system integration documentation.\nPrevious formal team-lead or people-leadership experience.\nExperience partnering with onshore and offshore development resources.\nBenefits\nAt GreenPath, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:\nCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions\nGenerous paid time off and holidays\nTuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities\nMission-driven work environment focused on making a positive impact \nWorking Conditions\nWork is primarily sedentary in nature with no special physical demands.
