You observe safety and security procedures, you determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, you use equipment and materials properly, and you report potentially unsafe conditions.\nSummary of Education, Experience & Certification\nMinimum high school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum 4+ years corporate or commercial aircraft wiring experience or related military training.\nEmployees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nAbility to communicate in English (read, write and verbally communicate).\nMathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.\nComprehensive knowledge of the techniques, processes and procedures of aircraft wire harness manufacturing.\nAbility to research, identify and operate proper tools for the task assigned.\nAbility to work with repetitive stripping and crimping equipment.\nExhibits hand-eye coordination/skills with a high degree of accuracy.\nAbility to interpret and understand engineering data.\nAbility to read measuring instruments.\nAbility to operate wire-marking machine and labeling machine.\nAbility to design and build shop aids.\nAbility to assemble electrical wiring and components on cabinet, panel or sheet metal assemblies.\nAbility to work overtime as required.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.\nAble to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.\nAble to lift 25 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.\nAble to reach overhead.\nAble to work in a non-dust-free environment.\nNormal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).\nFull range of motion with both hands.\nCan work in a stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas.\n\nPersonal Tool Requirements\nNOTE: Although the company provides some tools, the electrical production of Aerospace Interiors and assemblies is a highly developed skill that requires many personal tools enabling an individual to construct quality items in a productive time frame.
