Applies electrical engineering principles and aircraft wiring practices to resolve installation issues and ensure compliance with approved design requirements. Supports the transition from engineering design to manufacturing, assembly and aircraft installation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nResolves engineering issues related to deviations, wiring discrepancies, routing conflicts, equipment interface issues, electrical drawing errors, and discrepancies with released engineering drawings.\nCoordinates with Project Engineers and aircraft leads on engineering issues to determine and/or implement solutions.\nEnsures disposition of deviations and discrepancies within 24 hours of identification.\nPrepares drawing redlines and change requests through established approval processes.\nSupports troubleshooting of wiring continuity and terminations.\nReviews proposed installation changes for compliance with applicable EWIS requirements and approved engineering standards.\nCoordinates with appropriate stakeholders to determine and/or implement the most optimal path.\nCollaborates with electrical engineers to confirm design intent and incorporate installation changes into released drawings. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience strongly preferred.\nEmployees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong aircraft avionics installation background, particularly in aircraft modification programs.\nAbility to relocate and reside within vicinity of the aircraft modification program.\nThorough knowledge of electrical drawing development and substantiation methods.\nAbility to collaborate across departments to align on effective solutions to engineering issues requiring mechanical or systems engineering input.\nStrong desire to improve the quality and timeliness of Greenpoint electrical engineering packages. \nProven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.\nKnowledge of industry standards and FAA/foreign regulations.\nComputer Aided Drafting/Design skills is a plus.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and compete tasks on time.\nExperience adhering to budget and project schedules.\nAbility to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.\nAbility to travel as required.\nAbility to work overtime as required.\nThe expected WA salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $124,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
