This senior-level mechanic leads by example, oversees less-experienced technicians, and ensures that all work meets company and regulatory standards for quality, safety and craftsmanship.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOversee and co-sign for uncertified mechanics in accordance with company procedures.\nFacilitate on-the-job training to provide learning opportunities through work assignments and mentoring.\nAssist leads with planning, production, and quality assurance of assigned projects.\nGather information to submit to Engineering as needed.\nManufacture and fabricate monuments and interior components from raw materials including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers.\nFabricate, trim, and install interior components such as galleys, bulkheads, doors, side ledges, game, and conference tables.\nRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals and work orders to perform duties.\nPerform troubleshooting and repairs to inspect incoming cabinetry and interior components, removals, inventory, and protection.\nDiagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary.\nCommunicate effectively with maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.\nComplete job assignments in a timely manner, including on-the-job training forms and required reading.\nMaintain a clean work area, ensure regular and prompt attendance and conduct effectively.\nMaintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.\nEnsure working environment is deemed safe for access and job task performance via Hazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications.\nOther duties as assigned.\nCompetencies:\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\nGreenpoint Core Competencies\nAdaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and accepts constructive criticism/feedback and changes approach or method to best fit the situation.\nCommunications - Expresses ideas and thoughts effectively in verbal and written form, exhibits good listening and comprehension, and keeps others informed and uses appropriate communication methods.\nDependability - Responds to requests for service and assistance, follows instruction and responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions and doing the best job possible, keeps commitments, and maintains reliable attendance.\nInitiative - Sets and achieves challenging goals, demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles, measures self against standard of excellence, recognizes and acts on opportunities, and takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.\nTeamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and puts success of team above own interests.\nWork Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, displays commitment to excellence, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, applies feedback to improve performance, and monitors own work to ensure quality.\nJob Core Competencies\nCooperation - Establishes and maintains effective relations, exhibits tact and consideration, displays positive outlook and pleasant manner, offers assistance and support to co-workers, works cooperatively in group situations and works actively to resolve conflicts.\nWritten Communications - Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar, varies writing style to meet needs, and presents numerical data effectively.\nPlanning and Organization - Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, plans for additional resources, integrates changes smoothly, sets goals and objectives, and works in an organized manner.\nOral Communications - You speak clearly and persuasively, you listen and get clarification, you respond well to questions, you demonstrate group presentation skills, and you participate in meetings.\nSummary of Education, Experience & Certification\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of six years Four to six years recent applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience on VIP aircraft interiors. Applicable Repairman, Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred; or ability to obtain.\nEmployees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company, foreign government, foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.\nThis safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a \"safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be requiredbased on specific circumstances. \nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nIn-depth knowledge of VIP aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes, including removal and installation of galleys, cabinets, bulkheads, sidewalls, and decorative components.\nExperience with composite materials such as wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers.\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; ability to identify problems and implement solutions.\n.Ability to work under minimal supervision and lead less-experienced mechanics.\nProficiency using hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals and work orders.\nAble to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.\nAbility to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).\nMathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.\nAble to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders\nAbility to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nStrong time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.\nAbility to travel as required.\nAbility to work outside of core business hours as required.\nThe expected WA salary range for this position is between $75,808,000.00 - $104,236.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
