If you’re excited to be part of a winning team, Green Street is a place to grow your career.\nJob Responsibilities\nAssists the EMEA, Finance Manager with the following duties:\nAct as the accountant responsible for the full accounting cycle of the Bulgarian entity, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and group policies.\nPerform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement review and flux analysis, for specified Green Street subsidiaries as determined by EMEA, Finance Manager\nEnsure that corporate credit cards and bank accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and that reconciling items are identified, accurately documented, and resolved quickly\nEnsure that invoices are approved, expenses are properly classified, and payment is made in a timely manner\nCoordinate with EMEA, Finance Manager to stand up accounting systems and improve month-end close processes, in particular for assigned subsidiaries\nPrepare, document, and reconcile journal entries for various entities across several currencies and maintain consolidated reports for annual audit\nSupport in coordination of external audit for Green Street and its affiliates\nWork with EMEA, Finance Manager and external tax advisors on tax provisions, returns, and notices\nAssist on various tax matters globally, VAT, GST, and tax residency certificates\nLiaise between the Accounting Department and various other departments to gather information and support company initiatives (i.e., Advisory, Sales, Human Resources, Technology)\nProactively identify issues, recommend process updates, and work with EMEA, Finance Manager to implement improvements for efficiency, controls, and accuracy\nAssist in ad-hoc reporting/projects for management and Senior Leadership Team\nCandidate Profile\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required. CPA preferred\n5+ years experience in all aspects of accounting\nStrong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including mastering Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs and Graphs\nPrior experience with NetSuite is a plus\nAnalytical-the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information\nProblem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully\nOral communication-the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings in English\nDelegation-the individual delegates work assignments, gives authority to work independently, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities\nQuality management-the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness\nJudgment-the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions\nPlanning/organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plan\nSelf-starter-must have the ability to problem solve and self-initiate processes with limited guidance\nCompensation, Benefits and Work Authorization\nIn addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
