Acting as the primary advisor to the CEO DG, Country Manager and Project Director, this role is responsible for interpreting contractual obligations, managing variation and claim processes, coordinating risk management activities, and ensuring contractual compliance with clients and subcontractors.\nThis role will be based in Lisboa or Madrid with 30% travelling time.\nWith a deep understanding of international contract standards such as FIDIC and NEC3, the Contract Senior Manager provides expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle - from contract execution to final claim resolution - ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders. The role also drives risk identification and mitigation, supports strategic decision-making, and promotes contractual awareness across multidisciplinary project teams.\nYou will be responsible for the following tasks:\nProvide expert interpretation of contracts and subcontracts, advising the Project Director and project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk exposures.\nDraft and coordinate contractual correspondence to clients and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project strategy and legal standards.\nLead the preparation of variation proposals (RFPs) and value engineering proposals (VEPs), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.\nManage the development and defence of claims, including extensions of time (EOT), disturbance costs, and other entitlements under the main contract and subcontracts.\nEstablish and maintain robust records to support variation and claim substantiation.\nEducate and guide project teams on contractual obligations and best practices, fostering a culture of contractual awareness and accountability.\nOwn and coordinate the Risk & Opportunities process in all DG BU’s, including preparation of risk deliverables and internal R&O registers.\nEnsure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and management plans in all DG BU’s.\nInterface effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, engineering, and construction teams, as well as clients and subcontractors.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, or related discipline;
