This position is expected to work out of our office at 2540 N First Street in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.\nPositionSummary:\nGreenWaste is seeking a Contract & Compliance Reporting Analyst to support contractual, regulatory, operational, and financial reporting requirements across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of reports required by municipal contracts, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. The position collects, validates, reconciles, and analyzes data from multiple sources, investigates reporting discrepancies, and supports management reporting and financial analysis activities as needed.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nMaintain and update databases and records related to customers, materials, services, and other information necessary to support contractual and regulatory reporting.\nCollect, validate, reconcile, and analyze operational and financial data from multiple internal and external sources.\nPrepare and submit required material handling, processing, diversion, operational, and other reports to regulatory agencies and contracted city or county representatives.\nReview reporting data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable reporting requirements.\nReconcile data between internal systems, operational records, customer information, and external databases to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nInvestigate reporting variances and work with internal departments to obtain clarification or make necessary corrections.\nEnsure contractual reporting requirements and deadlines are met accurately and timely.\nCommunicate and coordinate with representatives of contracted cities, counties, consultants, and regulatory agencies regarding reporting questions, data requests, and ad hoc reviews.\nAssist internal departments with the implementation of reporting processes, procedures, and other contractual or regulatory requirements.\nMaintain and update databases and records related to customers, improve reporting processes, accuracy, and efficiency.\nQualifications:\nAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and reconciliation of large datasets. Experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, route management systems, or other operational reporting platforms preferred.\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.2+ years of experience in reporting, compliance, data analytics, financial analysis, contract administration, business operations, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills \nAble to work with a high sense of urgency while maintaining outstanding attention to detail\nKnowledge of Power BI and SQL is a plus\nLanguage Skill:\nProficiency in English\nAbility to describe items in both a technical and layman manner \nPhysical Demands:\nWork on a computer for extended periods of time.\nWork Environment: \nTypical work week is Monday through Friday.
