This position is expected to work out of our office at 3458 Enterprise Ave. in Hayward and some job-related travel may be required.\nPositionSummary:\nGreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Operations Supervisor to provide support to one or more facilities. Through the guidance and direction of the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operation of the facility and the team.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nDirectly supervise a team of five to ten employees. Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks for the team. \nTroubleshoot and maintain the anaerobic digestion and support systems in an operable manner.\nComplete daily, weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly site inspections.\nEvaluate workflow and monitor the control system to ensure operational efficiency. \nOrganize and distribute training and educational material for the team.\nReview safety requirements with the team and enforce safety policies.\nMonitor and oversee special projects. \nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to communicate professionally and effectively.\nAbility to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety.\nProject Management.\nMust be able to learn specific company software used and be proficient in Microsoft Office.\nAbility to handle conflict and engage in problem resolution.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred\n2+ years of experience in solid waste, recycling, or related industrial operations preferred\nPrior management experience required\nMust maintain a valid California Driver License and acceptable DMV record\nLanguage Skills\nProficiency in English (verbal and written) required\nBilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to move safely throughout active industrial and processing environments\nAbility to stand, walk, and climb stairs to access operational areas as needed\nAbility to occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 lbs (e.g., tools, materials, documents, or equipment during inspections)\nAbility to sit for extended periods while performing administrative, analytical, and planning work\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in operational areas\nWork Environment\nTypical work schedule is Monday through Friday; weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational needs\nWork is performed in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to changing weather conditions\nEnvironment includes dynamic schedules, moving equipment, and evolving operational priorities\nCompensation and Benefits\nFinancial compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience.
