\nThis is a 6-month contract position.\nDesign and develop bare metal & RTOS-based firmware/software for a 5G SoC - specifically device driver and lower PHY. \nAssist with the definition, development and verification of SW/FW products in accordance with company & industry standards, policies & procedures. \nRun & test developed SW/FW both in simulation & on actual HW in lab (lab may be remote). \nCollaborate closely with Applications, Systems, HW and SW/FW teams to determine SW/FW requirements. \nParticipate in architecture & code reviews. \nProduce documentation e.g., design specs, developer & customer user guides, etc. \nRead and understand detailed technical specifications. \nIndividual contribution is the main role, with some technical leadership and mentorship. \nJob Requirements: \n6+ years’ experience required. \nB.E EE/CS required, M.Tech EE/CS preferred. \nExperience with ARM or similar embedded SoC development environments. \nExperienced in RTOS principles and concepts, and hands-on experience in any RTOS. \nComfortable with configuration management, version control and modern software development flows (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean). \nExcellent debug skills. \nGood communication, documentation & presentation skills. \nDemonstrate initiative to drive technical issues to resolution.\nDesirable Skills: \nPrior System on a Chip (SoC) product development experience. \nGood understanding of cellular wireless protocols (MAC/PHY), especially 4G LTE or 5G NR. \nBe able to work productively and independently. \nExperience using GIT and Jira tools. \nTeam player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product needs on time. \nTechnical Skills: \nStrong proficiency in C / C++ for embedded systems. \nHands-on experience with Unity, GoogleTest (gtest), or similar frameworks. \nSolid understanding of embedded systems and low-level driver development. \nExperience with mocking techniques for hardware-dependent code. \nFamiliarity with build systems (Make, CMake, etc.). \nExperience with debuggers (GDB, JTAG) and static analysis tools. \nARM-based systems (Cortex-R/A/M). \nRegister-level programming. \nInterrupts, DMA, and concurrency considerations. \nBoot-time and runtime initialization testing.\nProficiency in using Claude AI (Anthropic) for AI-assisted development, including code generation, code review, debugging, test case creation, and technical documentation.\nGood-to-Have (Optional): \nExperience with simulators / emulators (simvision, etc). \nExposure to SoC-level verification. \nKnowledge of Python for test automation or result analysis. \nExperience in ORAN/wireless domains. \nFamiliarity with code coverage tools
