As a stable, multi generation business, we empower employees to make an impact, build lasting partnerships, and grow their careers in an environment that values integrity and collaboration.\nReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic helps support the maintenance of company facilities with adherence to food quality and safety policies, with a focus on safe and efficient upkeep and operation of fluid processing equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, and automation software.\nThis is a full-time, at- will, non-exempt hourly position. Schedule flexibility is required, start time may range from 10:00AM start to 3:00PM start.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist in keeping company facilities in good operating condition through preventive maintenance, machine tests, troubleshooting and diagnosis, and installation of new equipment\nResolve mechanical or structural issues by performing routine or emergency repairs as needed\nConduct routine inspections of premises and equipment\nComplete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders \nComply with record keeping responsibilities in connection with preventive maintenance, assigned work orders, or other work performed\nRespond to questions and requests from production, warehouse, or office personnel\nOversee contractors when outside support for maintenance or repairs are necessary\nMaintain a safe and clean work area, including parts, tools, and supplies, by complying with procedures and requirements\nRequirements\nQualifications and Core Competencies:\nAbility to operate in an ever-changing environment with priorities shifting regularly\nCapacity and willingness to provide support to a variety of manufacturing activities, from the simple to extremely complex\nExperience in electric forklift repair and diagnostics\nBroad experience with building and equipment maintenance, including electrical systems\nMechanically inclined, with ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts, read and understand blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary\nUnderstanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems \nAbility to identify mechanical and electrical components such as solenoid valves, photo eyes, bearings, contactors, fuses, relays, etc\nFamiliar with repairing pumps such as centrifugal, positive displacement (PD) and diaphragm \nAbility to use power tools and hand tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices \nWell organized with time and task management skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail\nProfessional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong communication skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nBasic computer skills, with ability to learn new business software \nFamiliarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations\nFamiliar with 120V and 480V electrical systems;
