The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Solution Engineering, Product, Delivery, and Finance, translating customer requirements into commercially viable, technically robust, and executable implementation proposals. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in proposal/bid management, implementation planning, project estimation, commercial models, and cross-functional stakeholder management.\nWe are looking for a professional who can effectively bridge the gap between customer requirements, technical feasibility, commercial considerations, and project execution. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of proposals from initial requirement assessment through final submission and implementation planning.\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:\nProposal and Bid Management:\nLead the complete proposal lifecycle from RFP/RFQ evaluation through proposal submission.\nPartner with Sales and cross-functional teams to develop compelling, customer-centric proposals.\nOwn proposal planning, coordination, reviews, approvals, and timely submission.\nEnsure proposals meet quality, commercial, technical, and compliance standards.\nTrack proposal turnaround time, success metrics, and continuously improve proposal efficiency.\nSolution Scoping and Implementation Planning:\nUnderstand customer business requirements, warehouse operations, and automation objectives.\nDefine implementation scope, project methodology, deployment approach, timelines, milestones, and acceptance criteria.\nDevelop implementation plans covering installation, commissioning, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.\nCollaborate with Delivery, Engineering, and Product teams to validate implementation feasibility.\nPrepare effort estimates, resource plans, implementation schedules, and cost models.\nCommercial and Engagement Model Development:\nDevelop proposals across different commercial engagement models, including: CapEx, Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS), SaaS, Hybrid Models, System Integrator-led Deployments, Direct Deployments.\nWork closely with Finance and PMO to validate costing, pricing, margins, and commercial assumptions.\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Solution Engineering, Supply Chain, Installation and Commissioning, Delivery, and PMO teams.\nFacilitate requirement-gathering sessions, customer workshops, and implementation discussions.\nTranslate customer expectations into executable project deliverables.\nEnsure technical assumptions and implementation risks are aligned across stakeholders.\nProposal Documentation and Knowledge Management:\nDevelop high-quality proposal documentation covering:\nImplementation methodology\nProject plans\nTimelines\nResource plans\nRisk and mitigation registers\nAssumptions and dependencies\nSolution overviews\nMaintain proposal templates, documentation standards, and knowledge repositories.\nDrive continuous improvement of proposal content and best practices.\nCustomer Engagement:\nParticipate in customer meetings, workshops, technical discussions, and proposal walkthroughs.\nRespond to customer clarifications during the bidding process.\nSupport Sales teams during solution presentations and implementation discussions.\nRequirements:\n8-12 years of relevant professional experience.\nStrong experience in proposal management, bid management, RFP/RFQ management, and project estimation.\nStrong understanding of warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and warehouse automation.\nExperience in implementation planning and project execution.\nKnowledge of automation deployment methodologies and project execution lifecycle.\nStrong commercial awareness and cost-estimation capabilities.\nExcellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong documentation and presentation abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project documentation tools.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCandidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:\nWarehouse automation\nRobotics\nMaterial handling systems\nWMS / WES\nSupply chain technology\nLarge-scale enterprise deployments\nGlobal customer proposals\nLarge RFP/RFQ responses\nProduct-based technology or engineering organisations","description_format":"text","description_chars":4528,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":8,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial Intelligence","Hardware","Professional Services","Wireless"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T06:09:59Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":42,"reasons":["seen:0","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T16:20:38Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/greyorange-proposal-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/greyorange-proposal-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T16:20:38Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
