Sr. Satff Engineer

We are looking for a senior staff backend engineer to lead the design and development of scalable backend systems powering next-gen robotics and automation platforms. You will work closely with robotics, AI, and hardware teams to build highly reliable, real-time, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build high-performance backend systems for robotics control, telemetry, and automation workflows.
• Design scalable microservices and distributed systems handling real-time data streams.
• Collaborate with robotics, firmware, and AI/ML teams for seamless system integration.
• Develop APIs and backend services for robot fleet management, monitoring, and orchestration.
• Ensure low latency, high availability, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Drive technical strategy and system design reviews, and mentor senior engineers.
• Optimise data pipelines and backend performance for real-time decision-making.
• Implement best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of backend engineering experience in product-based companies.
• Strong expertise in Java / Golang / Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with real-time data processing (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. )
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with IoT, robotics systems, or industrial automation platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong system design, scalability, and performance optimisation skills.
